I got the domain name opensourcetorrents.com a while ago with the intention of having a place for open source projects large and small to post torrent files of their projects. Especially on larger files, using bittorrent helps share the bandwidth costs associated with downloading. I’ve just put up a basic tracker system, and am making my small announcement here. If anyone needs a tracker, feel free to use opensourcetorrents.com ( ostorrents.com too). If any files are torrented which I feel aren’t open source, I’ll remove them, but otherwise I’ll try to remain hands off.

Looks like you’ve parked both domains for the moment. Was the project much of a success, or were there hosting issues? I run Open Source Torrents at http://ostorr.org and in a week we’ve had about 500 completed downloads on the tracker. I develop the site myself, and the tracker is mostly my own code, along with the database etc. A partnership, maybe?
