Wow. Wow. Wow.
I switched to Geico in May because it was about 20% cheaper than the company I was using before (progressive). Nothing wrong with them – good service, really – but I couldn’t save no to a 20% drop. I was paying $1000 every 6 months for our two cars with Progressive. To be fair, I’d had one claim with Progressive a year earlier for around $2000. However, to their credit, the rates didn’t go up after that claim, or not enough to be memorable. It may have gone up 1% or so, but I don’t count that as anything but an inflationary adjustment.
I logged in to the Geico site today because I know our policy is up for renewal next month, and I was hoping to see our new rates, and budget for paying it next month. It just dropped. Quite a bit. Our policy went from $797 to $663!
Thank you Geico!

They probably saw a picture of your ever increasing gray hair and realized you were less of a risk.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist, and yes to beat you to the punch, I expect my Geico rates to decrease the next time I renew because of a similar situation.
Heh – always with the hair, eh? Someone ‘guessed’ my age rather high last week (44). Lesley thinks I should dye it. I’m still unconvinced. Good luck on your Geico dropping too.
